jQuery.Overlay is a jQuery plugin that allows the use of simple and fully customisable overlays. All the plugin will do is create a new element and place it with a desired position, which can be in relation to another object.

This plugin requires jQuery v1.4.2+ with jQueryUI v1.8+ including the $.position method
