Check_new_witze is a project mainly written in ..., it's free.
I found this old script which checks my "witze" (jokes) directory every now and than for new files and send them to me and my friends. I thought maybe somebody might need it.
Copy .check_new_witze.rc to your homedirectory and change to your needs. Make an entry in your crontab.
