dexp - dynamic explorer

dexp is just a (ugly) mod of dmenu (dynamic menu for X).

dmenu is made by Anselm R Garbe, Connor Lane Smith and suckless.org community http://suckless.org/ http://hg.suckless.org/dmenu/

dexp is an explorer for x11. It should be: 1) a file manager 2) a menu for select resource like bookmarks, scripts etc.

Requirements

In order to build dexp you need the Xlib header files.

Installation

Edit config.mk to match your local setup (dexp is installed into the /usr/local namespace by default).

Afterwards enter the following command to build and install dexp (if necessary as root):

make clean install

Running dexp

dexp works as dmenu (see man). If you use the -fm option it will start if file manager mode
