glab-wp-auth

Glab-wp-auth is a project mainly written in PHP, it's free.

Designed for website system administrators to seamlessly allow G LAB employees to login to their Wordpress installation without needing to assign administrative username or passwords.

G LAB Admin Authentication is a Wordpress plugin that allows Wordpress to authenticate against the G LAB employee database.

== Installation ==

= METHOD 1 - FTP (Easiest) =

  1. Create a backup of your Wordpress installation in the event you make a mistake.
  2. Upload this entire directory to the wp-content/plugins folder in your WordPress directory online.
  3. Activate the Plugin:
    • Access the Plugin Panel in your Administration Panels
    • Scroll down through the list of Plugins to find the newly installed Plugin (if not visible, start from the beginning to check to see if you followed the instructions properly and uploaded the file correctly).
    • Click on the Activate link to turn the Plugin on.

= METHOD 2 - SSH and GIT =

  1. Create a backup of your Wordpress installation in the event you make a mistake.
  2. Navigate to the wp-content/plugins directory.
  3. Run the command 'git clone git://github.com/G-LAB/glab-wp-auth.git'
  4. Activate the Plugin:
    • Access the Plugin Panel in your Administration Panels
    • Scroll down through the list of Plugins to find the newly installed Plugin (if not visible, start from the beginning to check to see if you followed the instructions properly and uploaded the file correctly).
    • Click on the Activate link to turn the Plugin on.

= METHOD 3 - Assisted Install = If you are uncomfortable completing these steps yourself, installation may be completed by a G LAB employee for a small fee.
