Create and influence a perpetual soundscape through Jabber messages

Jabbersonic is a small library to allow the playing of sounds via jabber messages.

TO INSTALL

  1. Install Requirements:

gem install gosu xmpp4r-simple

  1. Set Sound Root:

The server currently assumes you have the iLife Samples installed and you want to use them. Change the SOUND_ROOT_LOCATION constant in jabbersonic.rb for different samples.

TO USE

  1. Configure the config file (config.yml in the root folder) to your liking.
  2. $ bin/server
  3. Message the jabber user you supplied:

e.g.

failing_build # start the 'failing_build' state stop failing_build # stop the 'failing_build' state next_moved # fire the 'next branch moved' event

Commands with a type of 'state' will continue looping until you send a stop command Two are started at once with an offset to allow you to use samples that don't loop correctly if you want. 'Event' commands will only continue for the length of the sample.
