Jquery.showPasswordField is a project mainly written in JavaScript, it's free.
Displays password field value
jQuery plugin that displays the password field value in cleartext. For now it just has two options
type: 'checkbox' or 'hover' text: 'text to display next to password field'
default type is checkbox.
Usage: $(password_field_descriptor).showPasswordField() $(password_field_descriptor).showPasswordField({type:'hover'}) $(password_field_descriptor).showPasswordField({type:'checkbox'}) $("input[type=password]").showPasswordField({type:'hover', text:'Hover the password field to see it in clear text'});
If type is hover, value in password field is displayed in cleartext when user hovers the password field with mouse.
If type is checkbox, a checkbox field is displayed next to password field. When checked, password field is displayed in cleartext.
