Mongocaps is a project mainly written in JAVA and JAVASCRIPT, it's free.
A proof of concept for using MongoDB to offload some resources
h1. Mongocaps (MongoDB Endcaps)
h2. Why?
This is a proof of concept of taking fairly static data (doesn't change daily) and moving to a document repository with the hopes of lessening the load on systems that are actually dynamic
h2. Is this production ready?
Not even close, it's a proof of concept. It seems to be working out well so I might beef it up a bit
h2. Anything worth reading?
Nothing by me, but someone else did something very similar to this (I just happened across it by coincidence). It's the same domain too, e-commerce. "Give it a read if you want, I suggest it":http://kylebanker.com/blog/2010/06/07/mongodb-inventory-transactions/
