The bot can be started by running patchouli.php. To keep the bot running even after leaving the session, use screen (in Linux) or an equivalent.

To change the irc network the bot connects to, change $socket = fsockopen("irc.rizon.net", 6667) or die(); which defines the server and port. $bot_nick = 'mybot'; is the bot's nick on the network, and $owner = 'owner'; is your nick to be able to access admin commands. To make the bot auto join channels and send commands when it joins, put the commands under case "376":
