In a nutshell:

require 'polkit1'

PolKit1::polkit1_check( "org.freedesktop.policykit.read", "root")

return either :auth, :yes or :no in all other cases (unknown DBus UID, etc.) an exception is raised

• polkit-devel
• ruby-devel

== INSTALL:

• tar xzf ruby-polkit1-*.tar.gz
• cd ruby-polkit1-*
• make
• make install (might need sudo privileges)
