h1. System Status

System Status is a basic application to alert your users of any errors or issues with your product/service. It's basic but easily adaptable for your individual needs.

It's built using Clearance by Thoughtbot - so if you have a question regarding the authentication side of things, they are the people to ask.

h2. Roadmap

Twitter post commit integration to inform customers of updates on the application.

Invite new users functionality.

(Possibly) Add timeline updates to each individual status rather than updating the message in content.

h2. Quickstart

If you don't want to develop using sqlite then edit the config/database.yml

Run rake gems:install

Run rake gems:unpack

Run rake db:migrate

Run script/server

Edit config/initializers/clearance.rb to add your applications 'from' address for outgoing emails

At the moment, anyone can sign up for an account on System Status - that can be changed if you wish, or you may want to add the ability for a super user or administrator to send invitations and completely disable to sign up functionality. It's your choice.
