Vision HW 2

COMS W 4731 HW 3 Michael Reed mhr2126

I use an edge threshold of 17. My hough thresholds are: simple 1 - 100 simple 2 - 70 complex 1 - 80

p1.cpp - Reads a graylevel image and produces an edge image in which the intensity at each pixel is proportional to its edge intensity. Depends on hw3.cpp and hw3.h

p2.cpp - Reads an edge image and outputs a corresponding hough transform and a thresholded edge image. Takes the threshold as input as well. Depends on hw3.cpp and hw3.h

p3.cpp Reads an image and its hough transform and outputs a version of the original image with lines drawn according to the hough transform. Uses a threshold that is supplied as parameter as well. Depends on hw3.h

p4.cpp Reads an image, its hough transform, and a corresponding thresholded edge image along with a threshold for the hough transform and uses them to ouput a version of the original image with line segments drawn along the edges. The algorithm is as follows: For a given rho, theta pair, find the closest point on the line, p. Then translate to p = (x - diagonalcos(theta), y - diagonalsin(theta)). While p is not on the image do p = p + (cos(theta), sin(theta)). end While p is on the image do if pixel at p in the edge image is 1 then set p to 255 in the original end
