General Information

This is vkstatuses django project. It allows you to parse newsfeed from the social network vk.com using your login information, provides website template for displaying statuses and sending comments.

How to run vkstatuses project

1. Move to your project directory (cd rpk082).
2. Run script start.sh and follow the instructions.
3. Add to database your vk profile(s). Use the profiles.py script (type python profiles.py --help for information about usage).
4. Set English language in the settings of your vk page.
5. Run script syncstatuses.py for populating database. To ensure regular parsing and adding statuses to database add syncstatuses.py script to Cron's list using crontab (type crontab -e).
6. Run django project!
